miRNA tools

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are highly conserved small endogenous non-coding RNA molecules, 17–25 nucleotides long, naturally occurring in the genomes of eukaryotes. They regulate posttranscriptional mRNA expression through partial complementary pairing with 3’-UTR of target gene mRNA, thereby participating in a variety of biological processes, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, metabolism, development and tumor metastasis.

miRNA mimics are chemically synthesized double-stranded RNAs which are designed to mimic endogenous mature miRNA when transfected into cells for gain-of-function research.

Features and Benefits
1. We offer a collection of synthetic miRNA Mimics for over 5000 mature miRNAs from the sanger miRNA database (http://microrna.sanger.ac.uk/sequences).
2. Synthetic miRNAs are easily transfected into cell.
3. Short experiment period.

miRNA inhibitors are chemically synthesized specially modified single-stranded nucleic acids that inhibits its effects by specifically binding to mature miRNA molecules, and reduces the regulatory effects of miRNA in cells for loss-of-function study.

Features and Benefits
1. Available for all human, mouse, and rat miRNAs in miRBase.
2. Effectively inhibit the function of endogenous mature miRNA.
3. Design of 2'-OMe modified RNA oligos to increase transfection efficiency and stability.

Agomir is a double-stranded small miRNA mimics that has been specially labeled and chemically modified. It regulates the biological functions of target genes by simulating endogenous miRNA. Its antisense strand is modified: 2 phosphorothioates at the 5′ end, 4 phosphorothioates at the 3′ end, 3′ end cholesterol group and full-length nucleotide 2′-methoxy modification.
Antagomir is a specially labeled and chemically modified single-stranded small miRNA inhibitor designed according to the mature microRNA sequence. It is a highly effective blocker specifically designed to inhibit endogenous microRNA. Its is  chemically-modified single-strand miRNA inhibitor: 2 phosphorothioates at the 5′ end, 4 phosphorothioates at the 3′ end, 3′ end cholesterol group and full-length nucleotide 2′-methoxy modification.

Features and Benefits
1. miRNA antagomir and agomir have a higher affinity for cell membrane, in the cell transfection experiment Compared with common miRNA inhibitor and mimics, the amount of transfection reagent could be drastically reduced.
2. Especially suitable for animal in vivo RNAi experiment and have higher stability and inhibiting effect, can be injected into the animal by the methods of intravenous or local injection, easy to operate.
3. It can be richened in target cells, inducing effective, specific and stable interfering effect.
